Christmas Potpourri Recipe

There's something comforting about the aroma of Christmas. Cinnamon, cloves and orange makes us want to wrap up in a blanket with a cup of hot cocoa, turn on our Christmas tree and enjoy the peace of the holiday season. Or invite your family and friends so you can enjoy one another's company during the festive holidays!

Whatever your preference, having that Christmas smell makes all the difference.

I love gathering the ingredients, putting them in a pot and letting my home begin to fill with the spicy aromas as we go about our activities.

Here is a great potpourri recipe to set the stage for your holiday plans, whether a party with friends or a party in your PJ's!

Christmas Potpourri Recipe

• 2 sliced oranges (dried or fresh)

• 1/4 cup fresh cranberries

• 2 cinnamon sticks

• Sprig of fresh rosemary

• 1 TBSP whole cloves

• 4 star of anise

Add everything into a large pot. Fill the pot with water and simmer. Do not let the pot simmer dry, so be sure to check it and add water periodically.
